Merritt-Harrison Catering Consultancy in Scotland
From our base in Edinburgh, we provide catering consultancy across Scotland to businesses, the public sector and not-for-profit organisations.
Our services encompass operational reviews, financial performance, quality monitoring, food safety, option appraisals, business strategy, competitive tendering, marketing, training and design & planning.
With twenty years’ experience of working in Scotland, we have specialist knowledge of the Scottish catering market and its challenges.
As advisors to the Scottish Government since the late 1990s, the consultancy has supported the tendering of the staff restaurant contracts across Scotland and provided ongoing financial, quality and service delivery monitoring, as well as delivering innovative kitchen and restaurant design.
We supported Scottish Enterprise with their staff restaurants and the Experiencing Scotland and Event Ready Producers projects, offering business advice to visitor attractions, event organisers and food and drink producers, to maximise the opportunities for sales and promotion of Scottish food and drink.
Merritt-Harrison’s services are available via a public sector framework which allows any public sector organisation or charity to use us without the need for further competition.
The consultancy is a member of the Association of Scottish Visitor Attractions and our consultants are members of both the Foodservice Consultants Society International and the Institute of Hospitality.
